Incarnation?

The word Incarnation is a classic Catholic word worth revisiting. The Latin word carnis means flesh. So in-carnation is taking on human flesh. Incarnation refers to an event in Salvation History. The Incarnation is the event in which the Eternal Son took to Himself human flesh. In other words, the Incarnation is what took place when Mary said yes to the Angel Gabriel’s message. Our Saviour assumed a human nature like ours. The mystery of the Incarnation is so sublime that it inspired the Angelus prayer still used today; And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.
