The Gospels report to us many occasions when Christ prayed. He prayed at His baptism (Lk 3:21); He prayed before choosing the Twelve Apostles (Lk 6:12); He prayed at His Transfiguration (Lk 9:29); He prayed before teaching His disciples to pray (Lk 11:1); He prayed for Peter’s faith (Lk 22:31); He prayed especially before His Sacred Passion (Mk 14:36): He prayed on the Cross (Lk 23:34).
